Step 1: Create a Cross-Device Link in Adjust

Follow these steps in Adjust’s Campaign Lab to generate a cross-device CTV link:

  1. Navigate to Campaign Lab.

  2. Click + New Partner.

  3. Select Adikteev as network from the list.

  4. Under Set your link use case, choose Cross-device link.

  5. Enter a link name.

  6. (Optional) Customize campaign parameters.

  7. (Optional) Set the attribution window under the “Cross-device attribution” title (recommended: 72h View-Through Attribution (VTA))

  8. Click Create link.

⚠️ Important: Use these links only for CTV campaigns. They are not suitable for web or mobile environments.

The following is a sample format of a cross-device impression link generated in Adjust for CTV campaigns. Your actual link will differ based on your campaign settings.

Step 2: Campaign Link Delivery 

Once your Adjust cross-device link is ready:

  • Share the CTV link along with your creative assets to your Adikteev account manager.

  • Include any relevant campaign instructions (e.g., geo-targeting, OS, frequency capping).

     

Step 3: Prioritize App installs from CTV impressions in the attribution waterfall 

Adjust solution allows its customers to work on attribution waterfall setup and prioritize CTV installs. Contact your Adjust representative for more information and for the setup. 

3 options are possible:

  • Custom Waterfall 1 -
    • Set CTV impressions at a higher priority than other impressions sources
    • Note that in this setup, Clicks from other sources are still set at a higher priority
  • Custom Waterfall 2 - Recommended
    • Set the CTV impression at the highest priority in the attribution waterfall
    • Note that regardless of their source, this set up will prioritize CTV impressions over any other events, whether they are clicks or regular impressions
  • Custom Waterfall 3 - 
    • CTV impressions are set at a lower priority than other sources Impressions and clicks, except for those coming from Apple and Google store search.

At Adikteev, we recommend client should pick Custom Waterfall 2, or if not, then Custom Waterfall 3.

 

Step 4: Event Forwarding (Optional)

To share post-install events (e.g., Signup, Purchase) with Adikteev:

  1. Go to Campaign Lab > Ad networks.

  2. Select Adikteev.

  3. Click the Data sharing tab.

  4. Find your app and click Edit settings.

  5. Toggle ON the events you want to share.

  6. Under Map your events, match the events you’ve set up in Adjust to ones Adikteev can use.

  7. Click Save.

Note: Not all campaigns require post-install event sharing. Confirm with your Adikteev account manager whether forwarding signup, purchase, or other events is needed for your use case.

 

Best practices

  • Share non-attributed conversions data with Adikteev : Non-attributed conversion data helps adnetworks to better calculate which users are more likely to interact with your app, allowing them to optimize campaign performance to engage your target audience more effectively.
  • Choose the right attribution window for your CTV campaigns (72h recommended)
  • Customize your waterfall with your Adjust representative and ensure that CTV Impressions are set at Custom waterfall 2 (or if not possible 3)
  • Map multiple events (about 3-5) besides installs and app open
  • Granting access to CTV AdVision Dashboard to Adikteev as a trusted partner so that it can be used to better optimize your campaigns performances
